Course Description
System Management covers the essential tools and protocols used to configure, monitor, secure, and maintain network devices. This course explains device management fundamentals including IOS operations, remote access methods, monitoring protocols like SNMP and NetFlow, logging with Syslog, time synchronization with NTP, and security features like AAA and control plane protection. You’ll learn how to perform system maintenance tasks, troubleshoot issues, and automate operations using EEM scripts.

- Cisco IOS fundamentals including filesystem, boot process, configuration register, image management, and licensing.
- Device security covering user/privileged mode access, password recovery, remote access (Telnet/SSH), and AAA with TACACS+.
- Monitoring and logging using SNMP v2/v3, Syslog, NetFlow, CDP, LLDP, and IP SLA.
- Time synchronization with NTP and NTPv4.
