Course Description
This course covers Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies used to connect geographically dispersed sites. You’ll learn Layer 2 WAN protocols, point-to-point technologies, and the protocols commonly used on WAN links.
Course Highlights
In this course, you will learn:
- Layer 2 WAN protocols including Frame Relay, ATM, and Metro Ethernet.
- Point-to-Point connections using PPP with PAP and CHAP authentication, HDLC, and Cisco HDLC.
- WAN configuration and operations including device setup, routing protocols over WAN links, and QoS implementation.
- MPLS and VPN technologies for enterprise WAN connectivity.
- Troubleshooting techniques for WAN connectivity issues.
