Proxy
A proxy in networking is typically a device or server that sits in between the source and destination. For example, a web proxy can be used on a network so that all users access the Internet through the proxy server instead of going directly to the different web servers on the Internet. The advantage of having a web proxy is that you can filter content and the proxy server will be able to use caching, reducing the required bandwidth. These lessons explain topics where proxies are used in one way or another.
